The next Total War game has been announced, and it’ll be here this year. The next entry in the long-running and popular strategy game series is called Total War: Pharaoh. It takes place during the Egyptian New Kingdom period and is set for release in October 2023 for PC.
Game director Todor Nikolov from developer Creative Assembly said in a statement that Ancient Egypt is an iconic period of time, featuring “political intrigue, cataclysmic events, and grand war campaigns.”
You will become the pharaoh and need to save Egypt from collapsing during the Bronze Age. “It is up to you to either survive or fade into history,” Nikolov said.
