Project Q, the new portable Remote Play device for PS5, will allegedly have just three to four hours of battery life. That’s according to an Insider Gaming report penned by Tom Henderson, who was responsible for accurately leaking the existence of the device earlier this year. The article adds that the unit is currently slated to release in November, as we noted previously.
While three to four hours isn’t an out-and-out disaster, especially considering the device is mostly intended to be used at home on a local Wi-Fi connection, it does seem a little on the low side. It’s worth noting that the unit includes all of the haptic feedback and adaptive trigger technology of the DualSense, which is likely to be a big drain on battery alongside its eight-inch LCD screen.
