Release date incoming?

THQ Nordic has announced it’ll be sharing fresh Alone in the Dark details in a Spotlight livestream dedicated entirely to the PS5 survival horror game. Still expected to release this year, you can tune in on Thursday, 25th May 2023 at 5pm PT / 1am BST to learn more — and perhaps get that launch window narrowed down a bit. “Allow us to illuminate some of the mysteries that shroud Alone in the Dark,” the YouTube description teases.

This new take on Alone in the Dark is a reimagining of the original game, with the Derceto Mansion returning to create a new horror backdrop for the modern era. SOMA and Amnesia: The Dark Descent writer Mikael Hedberg is penning the script, so we at least have higher expectations than the last attempt at rebooting the series: Alone in the Dark Inferno.
